Hello to whomever might be looking here for my paintings.  In the interest of simplicity I've decided to use a Weebly for the artwork.  So, please go to this address: www.alisondunn.weebly.com
There you will find selected work from the last ten years or so.  I will add more titles, info and possibly older work in the next few weeks.

It did take me a bit longer than I'd hoped to get back to life.  So to honor this hiatus, I begin with one of the paintings I finished before I went to the end of the earth.  The title is "Magellan Returns."  It is oil on brown velvet, approx. 19 x 16'.  The piece was inspired by my sad discovery that Magellan never really completed his journey.  Yes, he found the strait he was looking for, but he  never made it back home.  So I complete the circle for him, sewing together the sky.  I chose brown velvet because, well, we think of those explorers as royalty, don't we? He was a true romantic and laid down his life helping natives defend themselves.

Alison Dunn. Pieta, oil on canvas, burlap; 45" x 76" x 7"; 1998
My website at alisonkdunn.com has expired.  Thank you, Sheldon, for being the caretaker so long.   I'm going to start rebuilding my record with one of my favorites, going back to 1998.  Alison Dunn. Pieta, oil on canvas, burlap; 45" x 76" x 7"; 1998
(private collection, Austin TX)
This seems a fitting place to start all over again.
